Business Overview

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..a highly motivated woman, with nothing more than an interest in funky decorative painting techniques, began the family-oriented, hobby-turned-company that is now Mojo Faux Finishes. The Faux Pro, Ande Crenshaw, originally showcased her talents creating faux finish techniques for those closest to her. Taking notice of her talent, people began to flood her phone lines to perform work on their cabinetry, walls, and anything else that she could restore, renew or refresh with faux finish skill. Pretty soon, business became so plentiful that her husband decided to join the cause - full time. Jared Crenshaw was more than willing to come on board as "Company Brains and Muscle" (official and very corporate title) in 2007 when things became so busy it took both to run the business. Mojo Faux has since taken off. They are rockin' on all cylinders expanding to include training classes, videos, and an e-store offering real faux products they have used and grown to love over the years. And you never know what else you might find Mojo Faux doing to support the industry and their clients. Ande, whose very official title is now "CEO of Pretty Stuff", and husband make a great business team. Together, they have built the fun, friendly, and hard-working decorative painting and cabinet refinishing business they love. Ande has been officially trained at schools of distinction, including The Faux Finish School in Louisville and Paintin' The Town Faux in Atlanta. Not to mention, all of her "unofficial" training through countless hours of trial and error, sharing info with others in the industry and working alongside other talented artists. Jared has combined his previous years of sales experience with new research and application in sales and marketing for Mojo Faux. He is now well known as the Marketing Guru and continues his education in this ever-changing area of business. The last several years have been extremely fun and rewarding. They continue to be blessed to work on some pretty amazing projects and with a lot of incredible friends. You may have seen or heard of some them: Appearances on the More At Midday Show on Channel 4, an NBC affiliate in Middle Tennessee, for two year. Faux Finish adviser appearing on Danny Lipford's national radio show Homefront Assisting a local cabinet company with restoration of the Grand Ole Opry's Unbroken Circle Of Fame after the Nashville flood Creating the gorgeous painted surface looks and leading the team of paint finishers to make Nashville's Opry Originals store fun and attractive.Creating and installing finishes in multiple Parades of Homes and Home Shows winning trophies from attendee's votes and judges in every one. Working on a house next door - maybe your neighbor's or friend's! When they're not transforming spaces, they can be found living in Middle Tennessee with their awesome kids. While giving homes and businesses a facelift, teaching, and supporting the faux painting industry is a passion, you might also find them hanging out with friends, singing at church, or creating some kind of art and beauty in the world.
