Business Overview

Coffee and Canvas was created in 2012 by artist and barista Samantha Nolloth. We orginally focused on painting classes, but as the rise in interest for painting parties grew among the residents of Middle Tennessee we decided to shift our focus to mobile painting parties in the Nashville and surrounding areas.Coffee and Canvas was created in 2012 by artist and barista Samantha Nolloth. We orginally focused on painting classes, but as the rise in interest for painting parties grew among the residents of Middle Tennessee we decided to shift our focus to mobile painting parties in the Nashville and surrounding areas. Samantha Nolloth grew up in western New York and started painting in the fifth grade with art supplies purchased from her local Ames store. Samantha began traveling at a young age; in high school she traveled as an exchange to France. As a junior in high school, she traveled to her father's native country of England, and also spent some time in Scotland. After finishing high school in 2001, Samantha traveled as a ROTARY exchange student for a year in Cologne, Germany. Upon her return to the US in 2002, she started college in western New York. She graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia with a bachelor's degree in international studies, with minors in French and visual arts. Completing her minor in visual arts rekindled her passion for painting, and sparked her tremendous growth as an artist. Much of her work during her college years portrays her emotional journey as well as her travels to Russia and Mexico.After college, Samantha moved to Nasvhille, Tenn. For many years she did not concentrate on her art; but after brief stints living in San Miniato, Italy; Invercargill, New Zealand, and traveling around the western United States, she began to paint again. Samantha now resides in Nolensville, Tenn., and is actively pursing life as a painter. Some Saturday's you can find her at local venues and shops like Jerry's Artarama in Antioch doing painting demos. Several years ago when Samantha was teaching for Grumbacher at Michael's her enthusiasm to share her gift with others was kick started, and she opened Coffee and Canvas. Her new found love for teaching led her to hold a painting class abroad from Rio Piedras, Costa Rica, live on Skype, to students in Nolensville and, currently, mobile painting parties in the greater Nashville area.
