Teen Beginner Sewing Course: 3-Day Intensive

Has your older tween or young teen been talking about how cool it would be to sew their own clothes or design their own bags?  This beginner sewing course is THE place to start!  This 3-day Intensive Beginner Course covers everything they need to know to jump into the fun and creative world of sewing.  *Please note that this is our LAST opportunity for tweens and teens to learn the basics prior to all of our Summer projects classes and workshops.*

Despite being just 3 back-to-back days, this course covers the same material as our regular 5-week beginner course!  We'll cover safety, how a sewing machine actually works, learning to navigate, basic stitches and their functions and we'll complete a basic project or two.  After attending this course, students are encouraged to practice on their own consistently to maintain skills and are able to attend any project classes, workshops and (with permission from Miss Jill) Teen Open Studio hours at MIY.

Attendance all days required.
