Business Overview

The Urban Art Bar has set down roots in the community in its' new location at 709 East Broadway. We are very excited to be able to provide art education in a variety of mediums to our South Boston community and beyond. Art is all encompassing so we are taking on a mantra in our new space, "The Art Of��" This is to include all art forms, not specific to painting on canvas. Some examples are music, health and wellness, mixology, wine and beer pairings, children's series, senior citizen events, fashion, hair and makeup, reading, and good old school fun of board games, togetherness of people and beyond. Heather Carbone is a polished and driven professional who has been residing in South Boston, MA, since 2008. Though she's been immersed in the city for less than 7 years, Heather has observed "Southie" evolve from an urban-packed district, to a locality filled with young professionals with the desire to get out, and get involved in scores of social activities around the area. Heather has been an active member of the music and arts community, including becoming a percussionist� a love that developed early on at the age of six and has never wavered. But she maintains a profound appreciation for all art forms, so the idea to open an "Art Bar" undoubtedly stems from something deep she holds so close to her heart. Heather wanted to set down roots in the community for the long haul and when the opportunity to move to East Broadway presented itself she jumped on it! The design concept for the new space is a mix of vintage meets industrial revolution. She wanted to transform the space into a place where form meets function. Every part of the space has a story to tell. East Broadway's concept is "The Art Of��." The idea here is to honor, appreciate and share all the forms that art has to offer. Some examples include; literature, mixology, health and wellness, fashion, hair and make-up, and the list goes on! She hopes to combine her musical prowess, her love for all forms of art and the presence of popular contemporary music to create a socially entertaining atmosphere for all to thrive in! Heather is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and also a licensed Massachusetts Real Estate Agent. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, golf, spending time with friends and family, and of course her dog Nala. Read more
