Stephanie Haden- Fine Art Teacher and Owner/ Supervisor My name is Mrs.Stephanie, and thank you for being interested in our program. I have experience teaching kids for over 7 years. I graduated from Houston Baptist University with a B.A. in art education. I have experience through Houston's Parks and Recreation and Galena Park ISD and child care. Creating a facility that helps students grow in reading, math, and art has always been a dream of mine. I look forward to working with you and your child. Together we can make a difference in our world for the better. Amanda Mendiola- Lead Tutor I am a native Houstonian with over six years of experience educating students of all ages! I have a B.A. in English and History and am pursuing a graduate degree in Education. I am a Teach for America Alumni and have joined Splash Kids to make sure the children in our community receive the support in education that they need. I teach elementary education with a specialization in reading and writing. I also do SAT prep in reading and writing for high school students as well. I am thrilled to be part of the Splash Kids team and can't wait to work with you! Diana Diaz- Math and Art Teacher Currently I am a UHCL student working towards my art education degree. I love art and math. I look forward towards helping our students be successful. Cinthia Munguia- Math Tutor I graduated from Deer Park High School in 2011. Currently I am attending San Jacinto College, majoring as a business administrator. I expect to graduate in the spring semester of 2014-2015. I like to play volleyball, and stay active. My favorite subjects are math and science. I look forward with helping students succeed! Ana- Reading Tutor- General My name is Ana Jimenez, I'm very excited to start working as a tutor and have the opportunity to help students succeed in school. Currently I'm a student at UHCL, I am working towards my degree in Bilingual Education.. Nicole Abner-General Studies Tutor My name is Ms. Nicole and I am extremely blessed to have the opportunity to serve the children and families at Splash kids. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Hampton University and Master's degree in Counseling. My long term goal is to obtain my PhD in Christian Counseling. I have experience serving a diverse population of students both culturally and linguistically. As a special education teacher my passion is motivating students to reach their full potential through hard work and perseverance. I believe that children are our most valuable natural resource and every child regardless of ethnicity, zip code, gender or income level has the potential to achieve greatness. I look forward to helping the children and families at Splash kids achieve greatness. Janice Mc Clure- Art Teacher Hello - I'm Mrs. Janice and I love teaching art and crafts to children (and adults) of all ages. I have been a manager in the corporate environment all of my professional career, but art has been my hobby and my passion all my life. I work with all mediums - watercolor, acrylics, oils, etc., and over the years have been painting for my friends, for my family and for my own enjoyment. For the past 6 years I have taught art in a classroom environment to elementary age children at my church as well as leading art projects at other churches and donating artwork to community events. I'm very happy to be working with SplashKids Art and look forward to sharing my love and knowledge of all forms of art and crafts with our students. Read more
