Pottery Wheel Lesson - Mondays

You have always wanted to try “throwing clay”, and here is your opportunity! You will receive a private 1.5 hour lesson during which our pottery teacher will show you the basics of wheel throwing. You will learn how to center the clay and throw a cylinder, the foundation of all forms done on a wheel. Cylinders are then transformed into bowls, cups and much more. By the end of your lesson, you will have pieces that we will bisque fire for you and you can return to glaze. .<div><br></div><div>The cost for a 1.5 hour lesson is $59 per person and includes your clay, use of all equipment and tools, personalized instruction, bisque firing, painting and glazing, and final firing. We have 5 wheels available per appointment, so grab a friend and learn together! Great for ages 10 and up. All lessons are by appointment only.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Once you have taken your basic wheel lesson, you will be issued a “fearless mudslinger” card. Being a card carrying member allows you to come use the wheels during any open time that there is not a lesson scheduled. All clay must be purchased through Create! Color Art Studio. Your clay purchase includes use of all equipment and tools, bisque firing, painting and glazing, and final firing of up to 2 pieces per pound. Clay is $20 per pound, or $80 for 5 lbs. </div><div><br></div><div>Lessons must be reserved at least 48 hours in advance.</div><div><br></div><div><b>If you have a pacemaker, PLEASE let us know.&nbsp; One of our wheels has an electromagnetic head and therefore should not be used by persons with pacemakers.&nbsp; We will be sure to put you on a different wheel.&nbsp;&nbsp;</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>Please make sure you have received a confirmation email if you have registered online.&nbsp; If you do not receive an email, you have not completed the registration process.
